Family Portraits with the Turners
This fall down in Old Town Alexandria, I had the privilege of working with John, Jules and little Jolie Turner. They are a fantastic family full of joy. It was great seeing their family interactions and joy. This little 2 year old was a real champ, going for 2 hours and 3 different looks! Having a juice box midway definitely made a difference! Good job, mom, for being prepared!
Our first look started in an outdoor garden with some headshots for mom and dad just across the street. I always like to take the opportunity to sneak in a few headshots for the parents so they can update their LinkedIn profile or use it for other work purposes.
Look two took us to the outdoor courtyard of a hotel, where we introduced beautiful flowers by Amy Lauren Floral Design and played lots of Ring Around the Roses! I quickly learned that it's best to go with the flow when you have a toddler and capture the special moments that just naturally occur.
Our final look took us exploring King Street and taking advantage of the architecture in the area. The sun was just about to go down and it was great to finish the session in this edgy, cool and comfortable look.
Some people have a hard time imagining three different looks for a photo session, but it really is fun and helpful to have a diverse set of photos. You can get photos for your holiday cards, timeless photos for wall art and photos for the professional world all in one session! And when you hang these photos on your wall or put them on your mantel, you get a richer texture by mixing the looks.
