PortraitHER Session: Robin // Montgomery County, MD Headshots

“Find Your Fun!” That’s what Robin kept saying. Robin was appointed to serve as the Acting Director of the Montgomery County Recreation Department by County Executive Marc Elrich in December month. She was on her way to retire after 30+ years of service, but was asked to stay and lead, so she took up the challenge. I still need to find my fun because everything that I used to do “just for fun” became a business or a job, which is pretty awesome to get paid to do what you love. My photo sessions are so much fun and I feel really blessed to share such an incredible and intimate moment with amazing women. And I lead youth ministry, so fun times are guaranteed with teenagers and tweens! But Robin knows everything there is to know about what to do in Montgomery County. She knows who has the aqua classes, where the walking path in a library is being built (shout out to the new Wheaton Library and Rec Center being built) and had the details on a fashion class for teens that will teach the youth about all sorts of things, including having confidence! And of course it concludes with a photo shoot! So much fun! You can find your fun at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/rec/.

I was very nervous and unsure about the photo opportunity, but Shala made the session fun and relaxing. When I saw my photos for the first time, I felt stronger, self confident...energized! She did an amazing job!
